On the border of the states of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais, home of Brazil's 5th higher peak, the Agulhas Negras (Black Needles Peak). With many trail options, we chose the hike of 13km, plus the climbing, to get to Prateleiras (Shelves Peak), at 2.548 meters high.
